IC Agile Coaching Fundamentals

Agile coaching is about helping individuals, teams, and organizations improve their effectiveness through greater awareness, intentional practice, and continuous learning. An Agile Coach partners with clients to identify opportunities for growth, strengthen agile ways of working, and achieve outcomes that may be just beyond their current capabilities. Through observation, facilitation, feedback, and guided experimentation, coaches help teams build sustainable practices that align daily work with organizational goals and customer value.

This highly interactive course is grounded in practical agile coaching techniques and real-world experience. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises, simulations, coaching practice sessions, peer feedback, and collaborative learning activities designed to mirror the challenges Agile Coaches face in today's organizations. Rather than focusing solely on theory, the course emphasizes the application of coaching skills in authentic workplace situations.

The learning experience is intentionally designed around adult learning principles, recognizing that professionals learn best through experience, reflection, discussion, and immediate application. Learners will build upon their existing knowledge, practice new skills in a safe environment, receive actionable feedback, and leave with techniques they can immediately apply with teams, leaders, and stakeholders.

Throughout the course, participants will develop and strengthen the core competencies of Agile Coaching, including coaching, facilitation, mentoring, teaching, conflict navigation, team development, and organizational change support. Special attention is given to helping coaches foster agile and lean mindsets, guide cultural transformation, and enable organizations to deliver value more effectively.

Successful Agile Coaches combine professional coaching skills with business acumen, systems thinking, and a deep understanding of change dynamics. This course provides the practical tools, frameworks, and experiential learning necessary to help coaches confidently support team and organizational growth while driving measurable outcomes.

This course has been approved by ICAgile to award students the ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) certification upon successful completion. The ICP-ACC is also a prerequisite for pursuing ICAgile's Expert in Agile Coaching (ICE-AC) certification.
